In an effort to protect children, minors or vulnerable adults in our parish, the Diocese of Austin mandates that all clergy, religious, seminarians, diocesan employees, and adult lay persons who have contact, work with or volunteer with those listed above, must be in compliance with the Ethics and Integrity in Ministry or EIM Policy. This policy equips each of us with the tools and knowledge to protect children, minors or vulnerable adults from possible abuse and perpetrators.
What does it take to be compliant?
An individual must first submit a one-time-only EIM Application for Ministry.
Then an individual will attend an EIM Workshop every three years.
Visit the Diocese of Austin website to complete the volunteer application (“ eAppsDB”); register for an EIM Workshop; check your EIM status, read additional information about the EIM policy, trainings or education; or view a list of workshop dates and resources.
